DINING AT THE COLISEUM

Bojangles’ Coliseum includes a full-service restaurant called the Red Line Club. It will be open for reservations and walk-ins from 11:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m.

In addition to the standing menu, the Club will feature cocktails, draught beer and wine.

Reservations can be booked by calling 704.335.3117 or via email at rlcreservations@bojanglescoliseum.com. You must have a ticket for the CIAA Tournament to reserve a table at the club.

The main concourse features anchor stands with various offerings.

Tickets will go on sale November 1 via Ticketmaster.

How can I buy tickets for the basketball tournament?

Tickets can be purchased 24/7 via Ticketmaster, the most convenient method.  Courtside, Founder's Level, group tickets and suites may be purchased directly from the CIAA Conference office.  

How can I purchase tickets from my member school?

If you are an alumni of a CIAA college/university, we encourage you to purchase your tickets via Ticketmaster. For additional information, you may contact the your alma mater/institution directly.

Ticketholders will have access to what amenities?

Twenty-four action packed games over 5 days, in-venue entertainment, giveaways, vendors, sponsors, and free events such as CIAA Fan Fest and Super Saturday. Center Court, Courtside and Founder's Level ticket holders will also have access to in-venue hospitality. 

What are the payment methods?

Tickets can be purchased with check, money order or credit card. Applicable fees will be added to purchases with a credit card.

What sections are open seating?

In Spectrum Arena, sections 101, 102, 103, 104, 106, 107, 108, 110, 111, 112, 113, 115, 116, 117

What are the benefits to open seating?

Fans have access to sit anywhere in the Quad, Endzone and non-reserved lower level seating throughout the tournament to enhance the student-athlete atmosphere and increase the overall fan experience. It is encouraged that you arrive early to get a great seat.

Will reserved seats be available?

Yes. Center Court, Courtside and Founder's Level will be reserved seating.

Where can I purchase Founder's Level tickets?

Founder's Level seating can be purchased exclusively through the conference office. 

Where can I purchase a suite?

Suites will be available for purchase through the conference office for Spectrum Center.  There are a variety of single day and multi-day options that will allow your organization, business or family to enjoy the tournament from the comfort of a private suite. 

CIAA weekly ticket pass includes access to what venues?

Weekly tournament pass includes access to all 24 games at both venues (average of $9 per game for lower level general seating).

Where can alumni purchase tournament tickets?

Alumni can purchase Center Court and open seating tickets via Ticketmaster or from the respective institution.

When the arena closes for session sweeps will you get the same seat?

When the arena closes between sessions for a sweep of the venue, seats are available first come first serve upon re-entry. Center Court, Courtside and Founder's Level seats are the only reserved seat sections.

How can I purchase a reserved seat?

Center Court, Courtside Founder's Level seats and suites can be purchased through the conference office. Institutions will have a limited number of Center Court seats available for purchase. Customers can call the Conference office or an institution for assistance with purchasing a ticket.

Are tickets refundable and exchangeable?

Tickets are non-refundable or exchangeable.

How are tickets distributed?

Tickets can be shipped priority mail via UPS.

Tickets may also be picked up from the CIAA Office on Monday-Wednesday of each week. To ensure quality sevice, it is recommended that you call in advance to confirm.

Tickets will be assigned on a first-come, first served basis with the inventory that is available at the time.

What if my tickets are lost or stolen?

The CIAA will charge a fee of $25.00 to re-issue ticket(s)

Is tax included in the rate provided?

No, all room rates are plus tax. Please see the individual hotel details for taxes and fees.

What is required to book a room?

At the time of reservation, a non-refundable deposit of $212 is required. Please refer to the individual hotel to determine when the remaining balance is due.

Is there a night minimum?

Yes, there is a three night minimum which begins on Thursday, March 1st.

Who will be charging my card?

ConferenceDirect is the company assisting with the management of the CIAA Fan’s Housing Program. ConferenceDirect will be the company name on your bank and /or credit card statement.

When should I expect my confirmation number?

Your confirmation number will be provide via email, once confirmed.

When will I get a receipt?

Your final receipt will be provided after your remaining balance has been fulfilled at the hotel.

What is needed at check-in?

At check-in you will be required to use cash or credit card for any remaining balance and incidentals.. (i.e. parking, restaurant meals, etc…)

What is the advantage of staying Uptown?

Overall hotel rates have been negotiated for the entire CIAA housing block to be lower for all fans and member institutions than prior years. Both the Uptown and Outskirts will be affordable options. Being in Uptown, the guests will be in close proximity to Spectrum Center and other venues in which ancillary events are being held.

Why is the CIAA going this route with selling hotel rooms?

The CIAA is attempting to make the overall experience more cost effective for the conference, institutions, sponsors, spectators and other affiliates. The CIAA looks forward to the future of the tournament and how everyone involved can benefit. Eventually, the CIAA will brand each hotel with an institution. We believe this will improve alumni engagement, camaraderie and enhance the experience of all constituents.

Transportation In Charlotte

Once you’re in town, navigating the city is a breeze. With a speedy light rail system, multiple bike-sharing and ride-sharing services, and bus routes that traverse the region, you’ll have plenty of ways to get you from point A to point B, C and D.

LYNX Blue Line Light Rail

With its spring completion, North Carolina’s first light rail line connects South Charlotte to Center City, then beginning in March 2018 will continue on to NoDa and The University of North Carolina at Charlotte. On weekdays, the line is available every 7.5 minutes during rush hour and every 15 minutes during non-peak hours. Weekend service operates every 20 minutes during the day and every 30 minutes during late-night hours. $2.20 each way. CityLYNX Gold Line

This streetcar system runs east to west connecting neighborhoods to businesses and educational facilities, including Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center, Central Piedmont Community College and the Charlotte Transportation Center. The Gold Line runs every 15 to 20 minutes, 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 6 a.m. to midnight on Friday, 8 a.m. to midnight on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday. Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) Bus Service

With more than 70 local, express and regional routes, CATS buses provide more than 25 million passenger trips each year. Most operate from 5 a.m. to 2 a.m. on weekdays, 6 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. on Saturdays and 6:30 a.m. to midnight on Sundays. $2.20 each way for local routes; $3 each way for express routes; $4.40 each way for regional express routes; children 5 and under ride free; seniors and youth grades K-12 ride for half fare with transit ID, Medicare card or valid school ID. ridetransit.org

Sprinter Bus Service

This hybrid-electric bus is an easy way to get from Charlotte Douglas International Airport to Center City, with stops in central locations. It runs every 20 minutes on weekdays and every 30 minutes on nights and weekends. $2.20 each way. Ridetransit.org

Cabs

Call Charlotte taxi companies like Crown Cab, Royal Cab and Yellow Cab Co. to hop from place to place with ease. Charlotte Douglas International Airport offers a flat fee ($25) to and from Uptown. Otherwise, average cab fares start at $2.50 and increase by $0.50 every 1/5 mile.   

Ride-sharing Services

Companies like Uber and Lyft, which use smartphone apps to match passengers with nearby independent drivers, operate throughout the Charlotte region. Drop-off and pick-up spots are based on your location, except at Charlotte Douglas International Airport, where the designated ride-sharing meeting area is on the arrivals/baggage claim level outside zone E. uber.com; lyft.com

Bike-sharing Services

Hundreds of bike-sharing options are scattered throughout the city. Charlotte B-cycle has more than 20 bike docks, where you can swipe your credit card to rent a bike in 30-minute increments. And four dockless bike-sharing companies—LimeBike, Mobike, Spin and Ofo—offer riders the option to pick up and leave their colorful two-wheelers in whatever legal spot they like. Mecklenburg County ABC Facts

Persons Under The Age of 21 In Our Stores:

It is the policy of the Mecklenburg County ABC Board to prohibit anyone 18, 19, or 20 years of age from entering our stores. Children under the age of 18 may enter our stores, as long as they are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Acceptable Forms of Identification:

It is the responsibility of the customer to prove they are 21 years of age. The forms if ID acceptable in Mecklenburg County ABC Stores include: 

  • A valid U.S. driver’s license
  • A valid North Carolina ID card issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles
  • A valid passport
  • A valid U.S. Military ID

Group ID Policy: We immediately check the ID of any young person, as soon as they enter the store. An entire group of people can be refused if any member of the group is underage or unable to produce an acceptable form of ID.

Transportation Permits:

In accordance with North Carolina ABC laws, a customer may purchase up to eight (8) liters of alcohol (distilled spirits) from our stores without a transportation permit. With a transportation permit, the customer may purchase up to forty (40) liters of alcohol and subsequently transport their purchase within the State of North Carolina.
