Born in Washington, DC, Andrea Newman is a dedicated student leader at Bowie State University, where she is earning her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and is set to graduate with honors in May 2026. A committed scholar, she is part of the Honors Program, receives an Academic Full Scholarship, and has proudly maintained her place on the Dean’s List every semester. As Miss Bowie State University, Andrea focuses on uplifting her campus through mentorship, service, and leadership initiatives. She is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., serves as the Vice President of the Phi Alpha Honor Society, and participates in the NASAP Student Leadership Institute, where she continues to grow as a leader and advocate. Her love for the arts has shaped much of her journey. She has choreographed for her church’s mime ministry and the Lady Eagles dance team, inspiring younger performers with creativity and discipline. She also previously served as a member of the Bowie State University SOS Band auxiliary, contributing her energy and spirit to the university’s musical community. As a Hodgkin’s Lymphoma cancer survivor, Andrea uses her story to inspire resilience and hope in others. Motivated by her experience, she aims to support professional athletes as they navigate the emotional and mental pressures of high-performance sports.

Christian Symone Oliver, a shining example of grace, intelligence, and service. As the youngest sibling of U.S. Navy Veteran Adrianne Sally and Jeffery Oliver, she proudly upholds a family legacy rooted in strength and perseverance. A Presidential Scholar with a 3.75 GPA, Christian is a Senior Psychology major at Livingstone College. She plans to pursue a master’s in clinical Mental Health Psychology and eventually a Doctorate, driven by her passion for mental wellness and helping others. From her first year, Christian actively embraced student leadership. She has served as Freshman Class Treasurer, Treasurer of the Psychology Club, and is a dedicated member of TRIO. Her academic excellence earned her induction into Pi Gamma Mu, the National Honor Society for Social Sciences. In Spring 2025, Christian was initiated into Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, through the Sigma Chapter. She continues to lead with purpose as Vice President of the Psychology Club and a charter member of Livingstone College’s Collegiate Section of the National Council of Negro Women. Beyond academics, Christian mentors youth at Next Generation Academy, where she teaches and supports children ages 6 to 12. Guided by faith, service, and purpose, Christian Symone Oliver represents true leadership and excellence.

Kayla is from Baltimore, Maryland and is a senior majoring in Psychology. She is the daughter of Kimberly and Aaron Bailey. She is a member of the Student Activities Council, Student Government Association, and the Delta Alpha Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sorority Incorporated. She also serves as a volunteer for the FSU Food Pantry. Kayla’s career goal is to become a School Social Worker.

Ms. Zarria Monae Hughes is a senior Accounting and Business Administration scholar from Pennsauken, New Jersey. She is a dedicated student currently holding a 3.71 GPA and has repeatedly received Dean’s List Status since the fall of 2022. On campus, Zarria is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, a member of The National Council of Negro Women, a member of the National Association of Black Accountants, a dancer of Inferno Dance Company, a former Community Advisor for the Office of Student Life and Development, a member of The Horace Mann Bond Scholar Program, Miss Krimson and Kream for the Royal Court of The Epsilon Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated, and currently serves as The 52nd Miss Lincoln University of Pennsylvania. Off campus, Zarria serves her community through dance and service at Tabernacle Baptist Church Burlington, New Jersey and their Praise Dance Ministry. After graduating from Lincoln with her Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting, Zarria plans to continue her education post-grad, attend Real Estate School, and obtain her Certified Public Accountant License. Her Platform, “Certified,” embodies what it looks like to be a well rounded Lincoln University student through character empowerment, integrity, inspiration, and development. Through her current titles and The Miss CIAA competition, Zarria aims to uplift her community and inspire future generations to come!

Jaiden Marie Isome, daughter of Marcia and Daniel Isome, was raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, in a dedicated military family. Inspired by her parents, she learned the value of education, resilience, and a passion for leadership and social justice. At Johnson C. Smith University, Jaiden is pursuing a B.S. in Biology with a concentration in Genetics. Upon graduating from JCSU, Jaiden plans to obtain her master's degree in Genetic Counseling. Her leadership and advocacy are evident through student engagement. She is a Dean's List Scholar, a Hidden Figures Scholarship recipient, an active member of the NAACP, a student representative for the university’s Booster Club, a Red Bull Marketeer, a Chaplain for the National Pan-Hellenic Council, and a member of the JCSU Pre-Alumni Council. Before becoming the 99th Miss JCSU, Jaiden served as Miss Freshman, Miss Sophomore, and Miss Junior. She is also a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. As Miss JCSU, Jaiden seeks to revitalize the role of the HBCU Queen, showing that the crown represents advocacy, leadership, and community, not just beauty. Her goal is to inspire others, as she has been inspired, and to leave a legacy of service and empowerment.

Madison Maurice, a proud Columbia, South Carolina native, is a senior majoring in marketing with a minor in mass communications. A distinguished HBCU Queen for four consecutive years, she is honored to now serve as Miss Claflin University 2025-2026. Madison is a three-time Dean’s List scholar and an active member of the Dream Gospel Choir, where she continues to strengthen her communication, teamwork, and leadership abilities. Her professional experience includes serving as an Intern for Enrollment Communications Scholar with Colonial Life and a DJ-Influencer with Infinity Marketing. These roles sharpened her creativity, strategic thinking, and passion for brand development. Beyond academics, Madison is a dedicated small business owner, a venture she launched at sixteen. Entrepreneurship has shaped her resilience and fueled her commitment to uplifting those around her. Guided by the belief that nothing worth having comes easy, Madison leads with purpose, service, and authenticity. After graduation, she plans to further her career in corporate marketing, while continuing to inspire young leaders through mentorship, community engagement, and the model she sets as a driven, compassionate scholar queen.

Jasmine Burks is a senior majoring in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from High Point, North Carolina. Since her enrollment at Elizabeth City State University, she has worked to embody academic excellence, leadership, and service. Qualities that reinforce the definition of a true Viking. As a dedicated scholar, Jasmine has earned the prestigious Gilman Scholarship, allowing her to study abroad in Panama in December of 2025, to gain exposure to different cultural perspectives and learn from diverse academic settings. Having earned repeated recognition on both the Dean's List and Honor Roll, in the spring of 2026, Jasmine will graduate a full year early. Accomplishments serving as a testament to her character as a disciplined and passionate learner. Outside of the classroom, Jasmine remains committed to uplifting the ECSU community. She has proudly served as Miss Junior for the 2024-2025 academic year, Assistant Secretary of the NAACP, and Founder of The ECODE, an organization created to connect, empower, and support students through peer mentorship. After Graduation, Jasmine plans to attend optometry school, adding to the 2% of black eye care professionals in the U.S. She strives to ensure that everyone has access to, and receives the care they deserve.
