Food Lion has announced Miss Elizabeth City State University, Brittany Whidbee, as the 2013 Food Lion Miss CIAA.
The queen will be crowned Saturday, March 2, 2013 at the CIAA Tournament, McDonald’s Super Saturday event at 10:30 a.m. McDonald’s Super Saturday is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Time Warner Cable Arena, TWC Arena . Doors open at 8:30 a.m.
As winner of the 2013 Food Lion’s scholarship contest, Whidbee will receive a $1,500 scholarship. The first runner up, Karmeshia Tuck of Virginia State University, will receive a $700 scholarship and the second runner up, Barbara Henry of Fayetteville State University will receive a $300 scholarship.
