UNCF 5k Walk/Run for Education

On your mark. Get set. Go!  We would like to invite you to join us for the 2009 UNCF Walk/Run for Education being held on Saturday, February 28, 2009 in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Walk/Run will begin at 8 a.m. and is being held during the week of the CIAA tournament as a partner event.

It is only with the support of caring individuals such as yourself that we are able to provide assistance to the more than 60,000 students, 7,000 of which are in North Carolina. With these troubled economic times the need for financial assistance from our students will continue to increase, and we need your help to make a student's dream of attending college come true.

You can make a difference! UNCF offers great incentive prizes to motivate you in your fundraising efforts. We encourage you to invite family, friends, neighbors, teachers, students, co-workers, and club/church members to register to run/walk with you. Running or walking with someone you know, always adds to the fun and we know running/walking is great exercise for our health!
Even if you are unable to join us the day of the walk, you can still support our efforts by making a tax deductible donation to UNCF. No gift is too small.

To register, please fill out the registration form below and return it to the UNCF office. If you have any further questions, or need more information, please contact us at 704-377-8625 or by email at ncinfo@uncf.org. Thank you for your support!

Sincerely,

Kevin Monroe - Chair ,Walk/Run for Education
Marilyn Baldwin Richards - Regional Development Director
