Miss VUU - Corinthia Bostic
Corinthia Ernette Bostic, the proud daughter of the late Ernest and Mattie Bostic, was born on April 8, 1987 in Raleigh, NC. Corinthia is the second of two children. She has an older sister—Ingrid K. Bostic. Not the ordinary “Southern Belle”, Corinthia is a Mass Communications major, hoping to one day become a commentator for E! News. She also plans to own her own Fashion Empire catering to men and women all over the world with a portion of the proceeds going towards HIV/AIDS and Breast cancer research.
Upon her arrival to Virginia Union University, Corinthia E. Bostic instantly became one of the university’s emerging leaders. She is a member of the Unique Image Dance Troup, became the first and only Miss VUU Next Top Model and is currently the lead peer educator of the HIV/AIDS grant on the campus. Corinthia also received the Mwanachuo Mwongozi Award for being Student Leader of the Year (2008-2009).
Corinthia feels very strongly about family, philanthropy and sticking to her morals and religious beliefs. The legacy she hopes to leave at Virginia Union University is, “Ladyship through Leadership; Advancing Beyond the FIGHT: Financial Independence Growth and Health Today.”
